Malcolm P. Strohson

Malcolm P. Strohson Phoenix - The Honorable Malcolm P Strohson, age 83, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born September 3, 1935 in Nassau County, New York to Harold and Wilma Strohson. He attended prep school at Northfield Mount Hermon and then attended Hobart College where he pledged Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He was commissioned an officer in the United States Air Force and stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force Base where he flew F-101 jets, a highlight of his life. He married Susan Ankeny, and they returned to New York and resumed his studies at Adelphi University and graduated with a JD Degree from St. John's University. He was admitted to the bar in New York in 1968 and promptly moved his family to Phoenix, where he established his practice of law. He married Judy Castellano in 1984. He was appointed to a Municipal Court Judgeship for the City of Phoenix and served until his retirement. In Phoenix he was a proud 40 year member of Verde Vaqueros and regularly attended Our Saviour's Church. After retirement, he volunteered weekly for the Veterans Hospital and the Navigator Program at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. He is survived by his wife Judy Strohson, his children Paige and Malcolm Strohson Jr, daughter-in-law Shannon Strohson, grandchildren Cole and Connor Strohson, stepchildren Susan and Cindy Castellano. A Remembrance of Life Celebration will be on Saturday, January 12 at
Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1212 E. Glendale Phoenix, AZ 85020 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Organ Fund at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
